Theoretical Prospectus

Jaded Paths is a fantasy-horror TTRPG setting for 5e, set in an alternate Earth on the eve of World War I. In this world, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Van Helsing, Rasputin, Mata Hari, and other legendary figures – real and fictional – find their stories entangled, crossing paths in ways history never recorded. Players take on the roles of extraordinary individuals navigating a world teetering on the brink of chaos, facing off against secret societies, cryptids, and occult horrors. With a tone that blends pulp adventure, conspiracy, steampunk tech, and gallows humor, Jaded Paths invites you to uncover the truth behind the world's descent into madness.

Inspired by Shadow Hearts, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Sherlock Holmes (2009 film), and The Difference Engine.
